Art Marketing

The notion of marketing my art—selling books—is VERY tricky. First, there is the practical question of can this be done?

Second though, is the crucible of marketing being cheap commerce and art being personal revelation that is invaluable. Merging these two is the crux of the art-marketing issue.

Money is necessary, but I can’t write for money. Living requires money, but art comes from the heart and is rarely quantifiable or qualified by money.

I have to write from a deep place in me and carefully, with compulsion, share a message entrusted to me. Life to life, from life, and to life, i.e. Christ’s life to my life, from me, to my readers so they are encouraged to live.

Money can be an indicator of value, but not always. I must be true and write truly.
