"Come here! I want to talk. Actually, I want to argue and debate and contend--and I want to engage in that soul-level joust with you."

These are statements from God.

He continues: "It makes no difference to me where you are or what concerns you. I mean, it matters to me, but these do not alter the fact that I want to visit with you about things that are important to us. So, come here. Talk with me."

That is the essence of Isaiah 1:18. It is a famous verse of scripture that is mind-boggling in scope and implication: "Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord."

Really? Truly? Seriously?

Yes. It is true. I've done it already a few weeks back. But here are my further thoughts on the matter from a few months ago.
