Passionate Caring

It wasn’t that Jesus needed Peter—or you and me, for that matter—or the business man I mentioned two blogs ago. Jesus cared—cared passionately—and compassion prevailed. Life is bigger than my world and the concerns I wrestle with. When I examine the new heart I received when I became a Believer, I discover there a passion to care and demonstrate compassion. The same is true for you.

Passionate caring is part of our endowment as followers of Christ.

Being part of the family of God is much more than being taken care of so we can grow in our faith. It is a joint effort at compassion because we care about allowing Christ to live through us. Christ’s life, in and through us, exudes compassion by freeing us from our flesh to minister life to others.

Passionate caring is rooted in our own liberation.
